QUICKELíS CHURCH,  where Peter Bentz and and his wife Mary Humrichhausen [Subjects of this page] are buried, and where baptism of some of their children
can be found is located  at the intersection of Canal Road and the Susquehanna Trail, southwest of Dover and west of York.
Quickel Evangelical Lutheran Church
60 Canal Road Extended
Conewago Twp, York Co., PA.
This Church was founded by and placed on land donated by Michael Quickel., grandfather in law to Michael BENTZ [married Anna Quickel,] . Michael Bentz was   Peter and Mary Humrichhausen BENTZ's son .

Footnote 2:
"In 1770, that area which stretches from the top of the Conewago Hills to the Big Conewago Creek, was added to Dover Township from
Warrington Township. The Big Conewago Creek forms its present western boundary line. Then, in 1818, Dover residents east of the
Bull Road petitioned the York County Courts to form a new township known as Conewago Township. About two-thirds of this new
township came from Dover Township and one-third from Newberry Township. It is this line along the Bull Road, delineated in 1818,
which forms the present eastern boundary of the township. The northern boundary is formed where the eastern and western
boundaries of Dover Township meet. The southern boundary consists of a line which originally separated Dover Township from
Paradise Township. Today, it separates Dover Township from both Paradise and Jackson Townships. Jackson Township was an offspring
of the original Paradise Township. The southeastern boundary of Dover Township is delineated by the Little Conewago Creek up to
the point where it meets the Bull Road" 88 See Map

Comments and substantiation for the Children found in
ìTHE JOHN BENTZ DESCENDANTS AS COMPILED BY JOHN BENTZ HAMME."

Please be Aware that errors have been found throughout this text, and the reader is encouraged to consult primary
data for substantiation of the details herein. I have made notation of errors I have found, the first being that John Bentz Hamme shows Peter Bentz, Mary Humerichhausen's husband, as a son to Michael, who is in fact his older brother as evidenced by Baptismal records of Rev Lischy.

According to Lishyís records, Peter was Hans Peter and a son of Johannes and wife Maria Magdalena. 12
ìp 135  12. John Peter, son of John & Maria Magdalena Bens, bp N 25 1759.î11

I am including here the relevant extract from John Bentz Hamme's work with my italisized comments where errors are found in the text and hyperlinks to the person's entry in these pages.

I am assuming this Peter is a son of Our Peter and Anna Maria as his parents appear in several listings as this couple, and without another couple complicating the possiblility with dual entries for a couple Bentz with these names within the broad spectrum Bentz study in which it is found. [baptismal records of  Christ Evangelical Lutheran within  Evidences of the Pentz/Bence Family in York County ] .But his birthdate is too close to his sister Catharine's if he is correctly identified, causing there to be either an error in his or her birth date, or his inclusion as a child in this family bundle is entirely erroneous .
